The upstate New York incident happened Thursday evening, Aug. 31, in Warren County, on Route 9 in Lake George, according to state police.
Connecticut resident Andrew Tustian, of Stratford, was stopped for multiple vehicle and traffic law violations before troopers determined he was intoxicated, police said.
Troopers also discovered multiple controlled substances in the car, including lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), according to police.
At the time of his arrest, Tustian’s blood alcohol content was reportedly 0.18 percent, more than twice the legal limit to drive.
He’s now facing the following charges:
- Two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance
- Aggravated driving while intoxicated
